It comes as no surprise that the gorgeous Kenya Moore would have an appreciation for beauty. Spotted in Miami Beach, the former Miss USA and Real Housewife of Atlanta helped celebrate the launch of new marble and tile collection by TREND at The Temple House on March 12.
Their new line “Immense” was on display for guests to enjoy alongside custom drinks, dinner-by-the-bite, and live entertainment. Moore had the world’s leading producer of high-end material redesign her kitchen and bathroom after falling in love with their product. In a brief interview with L’ETAGE, Kenya Moore spoke about how she selected the company and her take on aesthetics.
What is most important to you in the creative aspects of remodelling?
Landscape design and architecture are my main area of focus usually. I look for ways to give a kind of makeover to the designated space. However, when it comes to remodeling, I tend to only like designs that are not too heavy on the eyes and are quite minimalistic. I like clean designs, I don’t like it when it’s too cumbersome or when there are too many things that grab the eye. I have a very modern home that I’m renovating in the last six months so I want it to be true to the home. A clean design is always on my mind, I want that look throughout my home, from the living room all the way to the bathroom, this is where I have looked at custom shower doors near me with which I can have seamless glass all-around to give my bathroom a fresh and clean look.
What are you looking forward to from Trend? Are there any expectations?
They’re providing me with design elements and what I’ve seen so far is that they’re professional and very thorough. They presented me with everything that they had and there were so many choices. I fell in love with almost every option. I’ve always been such a fan of unique and tasteful designs, for example I love the idea of resin panels in a bathroom or something. So everything they showed me, I immediately loved. I can’t wait for them to pull the design together, the installation and the final product.
How did you decide to work with the company?
I’ve seen their granite transformations and products. They have some amazing homes that they’ve done in the Atlanta. I thought “this is exactly what I wanted” because it’s so difficult to find modern and clean designs in that region. I knew this was the company I needed to work with. So I met with them, saw all of their catalogues and I was blown away.
