After a great preseason in which Tim Tebow proved not only to the Eagles’ organization, but to the world that he has changed his throwing motion and can deliver passes down the field has been released today. “We felt Tim has progressed, but we didn’t feel he was good enough to be the (No.) 3 right now,”Chip Kelly said. As of right now the Eagles’ organization has no number 3 qb, because Matt Barkley was traded to the Arizona Cardinals for a 7th round draft pick.
“Tebow really improved his throwing motion from when he was throwing a couple of years ago,” Kelly said. “He worked extremely hard on it and deserves a lot of credit for that. I talked to him a little earlier Saturday before we released him.”He just needs to get more playing time. Get out there and get actual reps. He has done a ton on his own from an individual basis, but it is about taking that next step and playing the game.”
“We’re not done,” Kelly said. “Whether we add a quarterback to the practice squad or the active roster, we will have a third quarterback in here.”
It seems like a lot of teams do not want to take a risk on Tebow, even though Tebow has not really got his opportunity he has been very high and optimistic with making the best out of every opportunity and just being real humble about his NFL journey.
