What more can we say about the demanding dominance  that Ohio State dictated in tonight’s victory over Virginia Tech? In the first half it looked like Va. Tech looked a little unfocused with their biggest game this season; the spotlight was on Tech’s  QB  Michael Brewer; Va. Tech had opportunities that could have went for big plays, but was not executed well. They struggled to get in offense clicking until they forced two turnovers that kept them in the game momentary before the half.

The halftime score was in favor over Tech (17-14), but the upset fantasy quickly evaporated; Brewer, who was playing well in the third quarter, left the game with 11:36 left in the third quarter after taking a hard shot to the shoulder from 290-pound defensive tackle Adolphus Washington. Brewer went to the locker room and did not return, which we found out that he suffered a broken collarbone.

Brewer told ESPN during the game that he will have surgery Tuesday morning and expects to be out four to five weeks. Before the injury, he was 11 of 16 for 156 yards and two touchdowns.

That was a huge blow to Tech and they had lost all composure after their star left the game, Ohio state quickly scored on almost every series after that and just marched the Tech defenders down the field,as if to say their defensive strategy was not going to work on their fast receivers.

Ohio State’s wide receiver Braxton Miller had a huge game running six times and catching two passes for 140 total yards with two touchdowns, while his QB Cardale Jones was 9 for 18 with 186 pass yards. Both of these individuals displayed a lot of energy on the field, in which their teammates enjoyed.

Even though this was the first game of the season, Ohio state on both sides of the ball look like they can make another championship run, if they can stay focus and execute well!
