On the sunny afternoon of November 17, 2014, Solange Knowles tied the knot with video director Alan Ferguson. This couple personifies the quote “age ain’t nothing but a number” as it is no secret that her new husband is nearly twice her age! Despite the gap, the two seem to be blissfully happy in their cream attire. Known for wearing vibrant colors and bold prints, its no surprise that her eclectic style resonated throughout her entire wedding!
The fashion innovator had a total of five cream ensembles- two of which were jumpsuits by designer Stephane Rolland. She started off her ready-to-wear rampage by pedaling to the church in the first cream jumpsuit. After the wedding, she revealed a one-sleeve jumpsuit. The next jumpsuit included a cape and a sexy keyhole cutout! The wedding gown was the icing on the cake: a demure floor-length gown with a cape to match by Humberto Leon for Kenzo. Her groom was equally equipped for the red carpet, matching her gown in a Lavin white tuxedo.
The couple walked down the aisle to Donny Hathaway’s “I Love the Lord, He Heard My Cry” while Kelela, Questlove, and Kindness provided musical entertainment during the ceremony. Vogue photographer Rog Walker was commissioned by Solange to commemorate the momentous event. Wedding guests included recording artist Janelle Monae, aunt Angie Beyonce, Tina Knowles, Jay-Z, and son Daniel Smith.
