TV presenter and YouTube sensation MrBeast, who has more than 370 million followers, turned up to the Formula E Evo Sessions event in Miami this week and had a slight mishap.
Organized by the international electric racing series Formula E, the test session held at the Miami International Autodrome hosted several actors, athletes and global content creators. Each had gone through weeks of rigorous training to get into shape and understand the engineering behind some of the fastest formula racing cars in the world. Accelerating 30% quicker than the current Formula 1 cars, the latest Formula E car, the Gen 3 Evo, is no joke as MrBeast discovered during a lap of the Miami race track!
While the 11 guests had participated in simulator training with one of the 11 professional teams in the Formula E series prior to their on-track adventure, MrBeast arrived without the same preparation. Given the opportunity to drive the full-spec racing machine run by US-owned team CUPRA KIRO, Mr Beast discovered the impressive power and torque available to drivers of these fearsome racing machines.
While taking some exploratory laps, MrBeast had the misfortune to not only lose control of the car after exiting a corner but then hit the punishing concrete barrier. And he did it all while filmed by multiple cameras!
Fortunately, the collision is relatively light and the CUPRA KIRO team is confident its racer will be in good shape for the upcoming Formula E race in Miami on April 12 at the legendary Homestead-Miami Speedway.
