With all the buzz surrounding her, she remains humble and motivated with molding her skills. She looks up to NBA players such as Chris Paul and Stephen Curry as a mentor when it comes down to being a great point guard. “I enjoy watching Curry, because he is so intelligent with making all the right decisions. He is so crafty with on the mark assists and he range from three point land is off the charts. I mean it is very hard to stop Curry when he can beat you off the dribble or just settle for a high percentage three point shot and Chris Paul have some great eye coordination when he is coming doing the court. He is very quick and his passion for the game is what grabs my attention.”
“Watching these two players makes me want to step my game up a notch, because I want to be one of the great point guards when my career has ended.” Te’a feels like she needs to improve on her pick and roll and decreasing her turnovers. “I mean, as a point guard you control the game, because the ball is in your hand all the time; you have to make great decisions with getting your teammates involved in the game or at times taking over a game. You can not have a crucial turnover in the game or reading the defense wrong. You have to go out there and make great decisions with stepping up your game everytime you get a chance to.”
Te’a’s quote that keeps her motivated is,Never give up on something you love; you might fall once, twice, or many times, but get back up and strive for more.”
