Award Winner Garry Destin debuts the Lure Luxury Handbag
NEW YORK– February 7, 2018 – Award-winning designer Garry Destin, founder of G. Destin Collection, is set to premiere the newest addition to his luxury handbags titled Lure during an invitation-only fashion show event at the Spacious Art Gallery Lower East Side on Friday, February 9, 2018, at 8 pm. Kicking off New York Fashion Week, the evening will welcome more than 100 confirmed guests that include style bloggers and fashionistas.
The Lure collection will make its way down the runway in the hands of models wearing Destin’s full line of womenswear and leather accessories. The gallery will have pictures on display and serval bags will be on display throughout the evening in the trendy venue.
Jewelry is exclusively provided by Nymastyles, a handcrafted jewelry line inspired by handmade, artisanal pieces and geometric shapes often found in nature’s minerals and stones.
Inspired by the rhythmic ebb and flow of ancient Caribbean mystical goddesses and voodoo practitioners, the Lure collection features bold, vibrant colors and feathers that symbolically reach out to other dimensions. Like every bag in his collection, Lure handbags are meticulously 100% hand-crafted/stitched by Garry Destin in his South Florida studio.
“My new Lure line of purses is not only in honor of my heritage, but also dedicated to the strong and exuberant women of the world,” said Destin. “Fashion is about self-expression and empowerment and I that is the message I want to convey. I am thrilled to be launching Lure during fashion week while also showcasing my full line of womenswear. The guests are in for a great evening.”
Guests will enjoy cocktails and entertainment by a specially curated line-up of musicians. DJ Claude known for his upbeat jazz sets will spin alongside a Haitian drummer well known for freestyling in central park to set the musical tone for the evening. Plus, a surprise guest performance will delight attendees.
L’Etage Magazine, a premier online publication that operates on an international level, with a strong presence in its home base of South Florida, is the exclusive sponsor. The magazine is a platform for dialogue at the intersection of arts, culture, and philanthropy.
“We are honored to be the exclusive sponsor of this event. Destin’s cultural influence in his design and artistic ability is emblematic of L’Etage’s mission,” said Sabrina Boasman, Publisher & Editor-In-Chief L’Etage Magazine.
