PANDORA LOGOPANDORA Jewelry announced today a partnership with MLB Network personality Heidi Watney. The sportscaster is a host of the daily regular season highlights show “Quick Pitch,” and frequently appears across MLB Network’s studio programming.

The partnership between PANDORA and Watney will include event sponsorships, in store appearances, as well as social media amplification and contribution to PANDORA’s social media platforms. Watney joins an all-star list of PANDORA brand U.S. ambassadors, including actress, Alyson Hannigan; country music artist, Kellie Pickler; champion figure skater, Gracie Gold; and celebrity stylist, Cristina Ehrlich; among others, to promote PANDORA’s high quality, hand finished jewelry designs.

PANDORA recently announced the launch of their MLB-themed collection, complete with three different charms per team featuring all 30 of the League’s clubs. These charms offer women the opportunity to root for their home team all year round and remember the unforgettable moments of the season. PANDORA’s involvement with MLB underlines the growth of women in sports; according to ESPN Sports Poll, 46 percent of MLB fans are women, tied for the highest percentage of any major sport.

“Our consumers have responded positively to the launch of the MLB collection, and we are looking forward to continuing to reach sports enthusiasts with our partnership with Heidi,” said Keshia Holland, Director Public Relations and Online, PANDORA, Americas. “Heidi makes a perfect fit for the PANDORA brand with her approachable personality and on-trend style.”

Prior to joining the MLB Network, Watney covered the Los Angeles Galaxy with Time Warner Cable Sportsnet, and served as the on-field reporter for the Boston Red Sox and the host of “Red Sox Report” and the “Ultimate Red Sox Show” with the New England Sports Network (NESN).

“I am a passionate sports-lover, and when PANDORA released their MLB collection, it provided the perfect opportunity for us to join together,” said Watney. “With an endless amount of charms and opportunities for customization, PANDORA jewelry allows women everywhere to tell their stories and support their favorite teams in their own unique ways.”

The partnership between PANDORA and Heidi Watney will last through April 2015. http://pandoragroup.com
