AFROPUNK ANNOUNCES INAUGURAL FANCY DRESS BALL FEATURING PERFORMANCES FROM GRACE JONES, CAKES DA KILLA & MORE

In advance of the AFROPUNK Fest, AFROPUNK in association with Josh Wood Productions will be throwing the first annual AFROPUNK FANCY DRESS BALL w/ performances by Grace Jones and Cakes Da Killa and dancing from DJ Bill Coleman and MikeQ to raise funds for the AFROPUNK Global Initiative: an alliance dedicated to moving the needle of progress closer to a holistic, democratic and enlightened representation of people of color within all facets of society with the goal to create unique programming that encourages diversity in media. Through the AFROPUNK Global Initiative, event attendees will not only enjoy incredible music performances but will also be immersed in a celebration of arts and arts education curated by AFROPUNK in collaboration with the Museum of Contemporary African Diasporan Arts (MoCADA).
