The following evening, the excitement continued with an official ribbon cutting ceremony highlighted by a spirited Dixieland band. The event was attended by local dignitaries, hotel friends and other invited guests. As they were ushered onto the resort’s stylish pool deck and expansive grounds, a massive party befitting a grand hotel took shape.
Hand-crafted cocktails in hand, guests circulated among more than a dozen serving stations overflowing with every manner of expertly prepared cuisine showcasing the talents of in-house restaurant chefs. Truly, there was something for everyone—a well-stocked seafood bar, grilled steak, a colorful charcuterie table, sushi and sashimi, grilled lamb and much more. For a sweet finale, the tempting desert cart was a sight to behold. There were even the makings of s’mores for the kids and a fire pit for toasting them.
Instagramable touches such as ice sculptures, flower garnishes and an enormous open-mouthed fish that was carved up and placed on dinner plates enhanced the fun party atmosphere. Then, as the sun set, fire dancers and jugglers lit up the pool area and pool itself, while an energetic DJ kept guests moving to the beat.
