Jon Hope: Faith and Hope will Prevail

New England Hip Hop Artist Jon Hope is excited with his new project named “A Guy Named Harry” that was released May 27th of this year. This project is his newest masterpiece and it tells the story of growth and maturity of what he was dealing with at that particular time in his life. This is Jon’s first project since Work In Progress in 2102. “The process was hard to be honest; there were times when people told me they would support me, but did not. There were times when obstacles were in my way, but I felt like I had to keep pushing. This was something that I love and I was not going to let myself nor the people who supported me down.”

“The music that I bring is unique and a lot of people could relate. I do not want to be that artist that is known for only one genre, I want to be versatile and create different ways and outlets that my music can be heard or the audience that I can reach. Bring creativity to the industry is what I love to do. Some individuals are scared to take that risk, but I will push the limits of  intertwining different tones and genres together to make something unique.”

A Guy Named Harry features 13 tracks highlighting Hope’s personal life and checkered past. In this latest project, Hope dissects a dissolved relationship, mental health and survivor’s guilt emerging from the dark side of Providence, RI. “ It is a tough world with being an artist at times, you have to make people understand the concept on your music. As a true artist you have to put your character in the album and give it your all. You have to go out there and get it, because in this lifetime nothing is given to you!

Jon has been through some ups and downs and still remains humble with every opportunity he has been given to help encourage somebody. “Never give up on something that you love and are passionate about! Just remain humble and strive for improvement each and everyday. There are twenty fours a day, why complain about anything if you are not giving it your all. Yes, there will be tough times, but during the tough times you will find yourself and your why on why you are dedicating your time on something you love. Those tough times will become brighter with every opportunity that you take.”

Hope’s rugged poetry and infectious personality has garnered the attention of Hip Hop icon Sway Calloway.  Hope was recently a special guest on Sway In The Morning and impressed him with his creative wording of his views within his album, as well topics and subjects about whats going on in the world. “I was blessed to have that opportunity to be conversing with Sway on my project and different subjects. It was just a great feeling to be honest.”
