Never intimidated by competition, Brendan Amoruso began modeling in fashion’s most competitive city, New York, where he quickly established a career that took him from catwalk to commercial set onto high fashion’s edgiest, editorial photoshoots as long as he was back on the runway in time for Fashion Week. During this period, he met emerging, young creatives and executives in various industries such as: fashion, marketing, entertainment, and film, to name a few. The model continued to build an impressive portfolio, while he simultaneously grew an extensive network of contacts of behind the scenes industry insiders. Brendan forged lasting friendships that allowed him the rare opportunity to get behind the camera into production.
The former model still enjoys shooting, but brings more than just a smile and a body built for fashion to commercial shoots. Now, he offers brands he works with over ten years of experience in documentary research and digital advertising. Over the years, his editing portfolio has become even more impressive than his modeling portfolio, with commercial spots and branding videos that showcases an innate talent to tell a story for a brand. In 2019, the business savvy editor decided to expand his repertoire and diversify his clientele which earned him lead editor at the Golden Trailer Awards along with projects featured at Miami Web Fests, and the CLIO Awards.
It
was inevitable the model was destined to be more than just a pretty face,
following in his father’s footsteps, who took Brendan to on his first film sets
to witness the creation of award winning documentaries as a young boy. As
the director of various documentary projects, his father interviewed iconic personalities
including: President Ford, Joan Rivers and Robert Loggia, among many others.
Today,
the creative video editor, owns his own production and digital advertising company
named Luna Lyte Studios (After his daughter Luna) which boasts a client list
that includes brands such as: Jack Daniel’s, Amazon, ESPN, and The Macallan to
name a few. He works out of New York City where he’s in pre-production for a
WW2 documentary, and always multi-tasking when he’s in the editing lab,
continuing to polish off commercials and specials for a growing number of
networks. The gifted talent has a passion for historical cinema,
collecting vintage movie posters, and loves anything ancient, aged,
autographed, or ancestral that appeals to a nostalgic side of him that must
have been cultivated in one of his past lives.
