This past weekend, the United Negro College Fund held their second annual Mayor’s Masked Ball at Hyatt Regency New Orleans. As part of the celebration, Today Show host Hoda Kotb served as Mistress of Ceremonies and was awarded the key to the city of New Orleans by Mayor Landrieu. Also in attendance was famed comedian Jonathan Slocumb, live entertainment by the Grammy-Award winning Nicholas Payton jazz trio, the incomparable Maze featuring Frankie Beverly and actor Anthony Mackie.
900 guests clad in ball gowns, black ties and elaborate masks savored dinner and wine pairings coordinated by the Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency New Orleans, Eric Damidot, featuring four-courses presented by top New Orleans chefs John Besh of Besh Restaurant Group, Leah Chase of Dooky Chase Restaurant, Kelly Fields of Restaurant August, and Brian Landry of Borgne Restaurant.
