On Sunday, February 24, Byron Allen and his Entertainment Studios held the third annual Oscar Gala and viewing party at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel to benefit the Children’s Hospital
Thus, it is no surprise that some of Hollywood’s biggest stars were in attendance to support their friend and raise funds for the hospital that relies on the generosity of philanthropists to do their outstanding work.

The black-tie affair began at 3:30 with an extravagant red carpet and reception followed by the Oscars telecast and dinner at 5:00 pm. There was much excitement in the air as the 91st Academy Awards show unfolded. Extra levels of joy filled the packed room when Ruth Carter became the first African-America to win an Oscar for costume design and when Hannah Beachler won the Oscar for production design; making her the first African-American to do so.
At 8:15 there was a live auction with Allen and Teigen on the mic to raise funds for the hospital and Foxx later got the party started. The evening ended with a lot of music, dancing, and a swoon-worthy performance by Legend who brought the house down with his musical gifts.
