Hollywood Royalty Stepped Out to Support Byron Allen’s Third Annual Oscars Gala Fundraiser

On Sunday, February 24, Byron Allen and his Entertainment Studios held the third annual Oscar Gala and viewing party at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel to benefit the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution and the largest pediatric hospital in Southern California that provides pediatric health care and millions in community benefits annually to children and families.

Thus, it is no surprise that some of Hollywood’s biggest stars were in attendance to support their friend and raise funds for the hospital that relies on the generosity of philanthropists to do their outstanding work.

Allen and Chrissy Teigen co-hosted the event with the help of Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx who was one of dozens of big names in attendance. The event shined bright with guests like Quincy Jones, Stevie Wonder, Anthony Anderson, William Baldwin, David Allen Grier, Kathy Griffin, Jon Lovitz, Daymond John, Candy Spelling, and John Legend.

The black-tie affair began at 3:30 with an extravagant red carpet and reception followed by the Oscars telecast and dinner at 5:00 pm. There was much excitement in the air as the 91st Academy Awards show unfolded. Extra levels of joy filled the packed room when Ruth Carter became the first African-America to win an Oscar for costume design and when Hannah Beachler won the Oscar for production design; making her the first African-American to do so.

At 8:15 there was a live auction with Allen and Teigen on the mic to raise funds for the hospital and Foxx later got the party started. The evening ended with a lot of music, dancing, and a swoon-worthy performance by Legend who brought the house down with his musical gifts.
