On April 2, 2024, the iconic rock band FOREIGNER, known for a string of timeless hits including “I Want To Know What Love Is,” “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Juke Box Hero,” “Urgent,” and with a record of more Top 10 hits than Journey, announced the upcoming fall leg of their farewell tour. The announcement followed a memorable performance with Styx and John Waite in Memphis on September 20, with the journey set to continue at the Charleston Civic Center in West Virginia on September 23, 2024, featuring special performances by Loverboy and Lita Ford on select dates.
Mick Jones, the leader and founder of FOREIGNER, expressed enthusiasm about the tour, noting, “Many years ago, I wrote a song called ‘Feels Like The First Time’ and today we are launching the next leg of our last worldwide tour. We will be presenting a show that I know will have the same enthusiasm as our very first appearances.”
Kelly Hansen, the band’s lead singer, shared his thoughts about concluding the band’s decades-long journey, emphasizing their commitment to delivering their best performances to the end: “The time has come. We have more or less lived our lives on the road for almost twenty years. We have always strived to give you our best and we intend to finish this the same way.”
FOREIGNER continues to connect with fans through a long-term initiative with the GRAMMY Museum Foundation, inviting choirs to open their shows with live a cappella performances of classic rock songs, further supporting local music programs through contests and donations. The band’s enduring popularity is propelled by their extensive catalog of hits, energetic live performances, and a robust digital presence, with album sales exceeding 80 million and weekly streams nearing 15 million.
Joining FOREIGNER, LOVERBOY, with their signature red leather pants and anthem “Working for the Weekend,” and Lita Ford, who began her illustrious career with The Runaways and became a solo rock and heavy metal icon, add their celebrated legacies to the tour. Their contributions enrich the lineup, promising an unforgettable experience for rock fans.
Tickets for this landmark farewell tour go on sale on Friday, April 5th at 10am CT at Ticketmaster.com or Foreigneronline.com, with FOREIGNER offering their own exclusive pre-sales beginning Wednesday, April 3rd at 10am CT at Foreigneronline.com.
