A Bold and Immersive Public Art Exhibition
The Miami Design District and ICA Miami have unveiled Marta Minujín: Dreamscape, marking the celebrated Argentine artist’s first public installation in Miami. On display until March 31, 2025, in the heart of Jungle Plaza, this exhibition features two monumental inflatable sculptures that provide an immersive, multisensory experience, inviting visitors into Minujín’s signature vibrant and playful world.
The first sculpture, Sculpture of Desires (2019), rises 30 feet and forms an awe-inspiring, luminous portal made of intertwined arms. This towering structure encourages participants to step inside and engage with its dynamic and interactive design. The second piece, Emotional Candy (2025), is a labyrinth of merging hallways designed to both disorient and delight. Inspired by Minujín’s pioneering mattress sculptures from the 1960s, Emotional Candy challenges viewers to navigate its twisting corridors, creating a sense of playful confusion that is central to the artist’s approach.

Minujín, known for her avant-garde work in happenings, performance art, and media installations, has spent over six decades creating groundbreaking art that redefines the boundaries of traditional mediums. Among her many iconic works is The Parthenon of Books (1983), a towering tribute to censored literature, which remains one of her most significant contributions to the art world.
Dreamscape offers the public a rare opportunity to engage directly with Minujín’s work in a way that merges art and experience. The exhibition is free and open daily from 11 AM to 8 PM, providing visitors with a unique chance to immerse themselves in one of Argentina’s most influential contemporary artists’ most ambitious projects.
