The New Miami Subs Grill and Miami Grill, South Florida’s largest regional franchise, is thrilled to announce that its CEO, Richard Chwatt, and the company as a whole have been selected as one of three finalists in the category of “That’s So South Florida” for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce 2015 Top Entrepreneurial Awards. Presented by Bank of America and with an awards luncheon taking place Thursday, April 16, the program recognizes South Florida’s outstanding businesses or individuals. Last year, Miami Subs equity partner Armando Christian Perez, aka Pitbull, and his Mr. 305, Inc. won an award in the “South Florida and Beyond” category. Chwatt beat out 100 area nominees to be chosen as a finalist for this prestigious award.
Since its inception in 1983, the Top Entrepreneurial Awards has celebrated South Florida’s entrepreneurial spirit and rich cultural diversity. That’s So South Florida honors companies that epitomize the South Florida culture, flavor and/or diversity and have helped define the culture of helped expand it beyond the local borders. When you think of the brand, you think South Florida. Besides Miami Subs, other finalists for That’s So South Florida this year include JustAskBoo LLC and Misha’s Cupcakes.
