Find out the latest trends in interior design from Design on a Dime, an annual fundraising event that showcases curated vignettes made with designer furniture.

The third annual fundraising event, Design on a Dime was hosted by Housing Works, a national nonprofit to raise funds for AIDS research and homelessness on February 3 and 4. Faena Art‘s Artistic Director, Ximena Caminos and Rudy Weissenberg were honored as the night’s honorary guests.

The two-day interior design benefit and sale kicked off with a media preview night on February 2. While a VIP preview was held on February 3 which featured a private cocktail reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and followed by the Chairman’s dinner at 8 p.m. The night continued with a night reception sale until 9:30 p.m.

Design on a Dime Miami 2018James Huniford, the Founding Chair of Design on a Dime, and Co-Chairs Whitney Robinson, Amanda Lindroth and Rudy Weissenberg were the speakers of the venue.

Over 30 interior designers took over the Moore Building in the Design District and showcased home decor donated directly from top brands priced up to 80 percent off. The venue doubled as a shopping frenzy for guests and included clothes and items for interior decorating such as furniture, artwork and more. Designers Miguel Lewis, Monica Arellano and Stephannie Benhamu collaborated exclusively for the venue to design a double room.

Proceeds from the event were donated to Housing Works. Sponsors of Design on a Dime Miami included ELLE DECOR, Miami Design District, Benjamin Moore, Modern Luxury Miami, The Points Guy and Russian Standard Vodka.

Founded in 2004 by Designer James Huniford, Design on a Dime challenges interior designers to create unique room vignettes curated with donated merchandise from well-known home decor brands and artists. Since its inception, Design on a Dime Benefit has raised more than $11 million.
