Players Vying for Final Opportunity to Move Inside Top-125 and Qualify for FedExCup Playoffs at the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro

This week players have the opportunity to come in and make a statement with how well they play to qualify for the FedExCup next week. Tiger Woods will play in this tournament to see if he can make the cut. In the past three months woods have not have found his right touch with getting great shots. He struggles with maintaining consistence and a lot of critics wonder is this really it with Woods.

Woods must finish first or in solo-second this week to have any chance at becoming eligible for next week’s FedExCup Playoffs. At the conclusion of play on Sunday, players finishing inside the top-125 in the season-long FedExCup standings will automatically earn their 2015-16 PGA TOUR cards and be eligible to compete in the first of four playoff events at The Barclays next week.

Nine of the top-10 players in the world are in the field at the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open, including 17-year-old Canadian Brooke Henderson, who is coming off an eight-shot victory last week in Portland. Seattle-area native Fred Couples headlines the field at the Boeing Classic on the Champions Tour, while Marc Warren defends his title at the Made in Denmark.

U.S. Open - Final RoundThis is the 43rd and final regular season event on the 2014-15 PGA TOUR schedule, and the final opportunity for players to move inside the top-125 in the FedExCup standings to qualify for the Playoffs. Those 125 players at week’s end will earn PGA TOUR cards for the 2015-16 season, and qualify for the first of four playoff events at The Barclays next week in New Jersey. Players finishing at 126-200 in the FedExCup standings will be eligible for the Web.com Tour Finals, a four tournament series beginning Sept. 10.

There is a lot of pressure that all of the players have on their backs and it is up to them to play a great game of golf to have a chance of making it in the playoffs. Pressure is what makes players great.
