On Saturday, the skies were beautiful and the weather was nice for an eventful day of racing. From 12 tell 5:30 Pm guest with a hot pass could have access to the pits and see all the cars or racers that was in the race last night. “It was so cool to see my favorite driver! I had so much fun, says a young excited child. “The fans were pretty excited for the race as well. I really want to see how Kyle Busch comes out tonight. I understand that he has worked himself back into the race emotionally, but how will it affect him physically. It is very different when you haven’t been on the track for a couple of races says an unanimous source.”
As the night begun to thickening and the bright lights of the NASCAR Sprint chase was on display, there was also another star that has shined America with her amazing voice. Winner of the Voice and uprising star Cassadee Pope had sung and thrilled the audience as she song the National Anthem.
As the drivers roared their engines to start this anticipated race, fans were cheering them on. From start to finish it was a battle between 1-5. Each of the drivers were trying to get an edge on each other by driving smoothly and not letting their opponents get to the outside. Mostly when a driver gets leverage on the outside, they could use that to their advantage. As the race was winding down with 10 laps to go, Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick was battling each other. With every lap Harvick was on the tail end of Hamlin’s car. Both drivers were neck and neck and somehow Denny had a little more surge in the last lap to beat out Harvick.
With the win, Denny Hamlin had won a $1 million purse and also his first victory in the all-star race. “You want to win the Daytona 500! You want to win the Brickyard! You want to win Coca-Cola 600 and you want to be an All-Star. It’s just an unbelievable experience. We just didn’t have a car that could run with some of those guys. But that pit crew, man, what can I say, they got this for me, there’s no doubt. Hopefully we start to get some speed here down the road says Hamlin.”
As the lights were dimming and the race was finished, the underdog Hamlin had made a statement with a precised run that now has made him an all star winner.
