Tony La Salle: Art To Go

Meet Dr. Tony La Salle: artist, visionary and gallery owner at locations at Asbury Park and Lambertville, New Jersey. Dr. La Salle’s paintings have been recognized as some of the most passionate, brilliantly colorful, soothing and joyful works created in the twenty first century. These are just some of the adjectives that collectors have used to define the painting of Pennsylvania born artist Tony La Salle. Using acrylic on canvas, his subjects include small-stylized portraits, the three sisters, crowds of people at an event and his massive bountiful gardens.

Described as an “artist’s artist”, Tony La Salle characterizes his paintings as “extremely personal and reflective, the results coming from an unplanned internal journey,” as he explains. His work hangs in private homes, galleries, corporations, restaurants, cafes and universities from Boston and New York on the east coast to San Francisco on the west coast as well as in Paris, Tokyo, Taipei and Lebanon. Tony La Salle has created paintings with love and excitement for the past 25 years and he continues to create new paintings on a daily basis, totaling over 12,000 paintings to date. “What do you do with all of these paintings?” people ask. Tony sells them all: he never has a painting for more than a month. He ran his own gallery in Philadelphia before he moved to Lambertville NJ, where he is currently based.

Tony credits his success to the “WOW” factor. People see his paintings and say: ‘WOW’ and proceed to take them away. There goes another La Salle. It’s high-energy art, ready to go. His work is said to have a sense of chaotic beauty and balance.  The work is all created in Tony’s studio located in Lambertville, NJ. It’s all about the creative atmosphere- a place that supports vibrant expression. Expression is everything in art. Creating 12,000 paintings helped bring personal and original technique into the expressive foreground that Dr. La Salle has created. Tony’s art is the product of a dynamic process involving music, dance and expressive emotion. A Tony La Salle is often felt as much as it is seen. This connection from artist to audience has been a major source of inspiration for Tony over the years. Tony’s work has captured the appreciation of collectors, designers and professionals across the country and oversees.
