Amanda Linares Brings Tierra Húmeda to Life at The Miami Beach EDITION for NO VACANCY
For No Vacancy 2025, Cuban-born multidisciplinary artist Amanda Linares transformed part of The Miami Beach EDITION with her installation “Tierra Húmeda.” Composed of clay tiles and graphite drawings on wood, the work explores how land holds memory, tracing ancestry, migration, and the stories that shape our connection to place.
Visitors moved through a landscape both tactile and poetic, where earthen surfaces and delicate marks seemed to make the ground itself come alive. The installation encourages reflection, inviting viewers to consider how the earth quietly records our histories and shapes our sense of belonging.
