With the skies singing spring is in the air and the temperature around 80 degrees, last Saturday was a great day to host the Weekend Warrior Flag Football event. There were many excited participants that wanted to show off their talents as well as feel like an NFL player. The way that each team was broken up into was 4-6 teams playing on the practice field, while others played in the stadium.

Each team had gotten more than 12 minutes to showcase their talents and on top of that play by play was showcased on the big screen prompter that made each player feel special. “I loved every bit of it. I had so much fun just going out their and just having fun with my teammates. It is an honor with being on this field and I am very grateful with having an opportunity to be out here. This moment means a lot says a teammate.”

While the sun was beaming and the atmosphere was great, players came out there and wanted to win this competition. The competitive nature for all the players that had played wanted to win.  “I like how the games are set up, so you could see what team has what and what will be their biggest threat with hurting the opposite teams that are trying to advance says a bystander.”

Each team came out and put on a show. They had their families, friends, and the people in attendance cheering them on, but it was very nice to see that each of the participants were having fun, while playing the sport that they enjoy.
