We chatted with the tattooed queen, Chef Olivia, to get the inside scoop:
Tell me about your dinner with Adeena Sussman.
We are teaming up for a French Mediterranean dinner with a hint of Jewish cuisine. We are both excited about the fusion. We both have similar Ashkenazi Israeli European backgrounds. It will be delicious and fun.
How do you two know each other?
It’s a small world when it comes to female chefs in the kitchen, a field very much dominated by men. So, we all know each other and stick together.
What’s on the menu, agenda?
Everything from truffle hummus éclairs to start to matzo ball soup, black cod, brisket ravioli, halva affogato, and a lot of other surprises mixed in. You may want to skip lunch that day.
What do you love about SOBEWFF?
I love supporting FIU. I love the town showcasing food talent. It’s like Miami turns into a big kitchen! It really is the Art Basel of food!
What other chefs are you looking forward to meeting or who do you love?
I love mingling among all the Food Network crowd. So many talents come to town to eat, drink, and party… it is Miami, after all!
Any great memories from SOBEWFF past?
Last year, with Michael Schwartz, I had a blast with my team showcasing kosher in front of massive crowds. It was honestly a big privilege.
