The Global Champions Arabians Tour (GCAT), the world’s premier Arabian horse championship series, transformed Miami Beach into a cinematic, commanding scene from April 17–19, 2025. Presented by Qatar Airways, this prestigious international competition brought the artistry and athleticism of Arabian horses to South Florida, unfolding like a world of its own—where equestrian sport met a cosmopolitan spirit uniquely shaped by the city’s character. Over 100 horses and top handlers competed for GCAT points and a share of the $2.7 million prize fund. The event delivered three spectacular days of pageantry, precision, and celebration. This marked the second stage of the GCAT Americas series, following the season opener in Scottsdale, Arizona.

The competition was fierce, with horses judged on type, head and neck, body, legs, and movement, as well as their overall performance. Tasheem PMA emerged victorious in the Senior Stallion Championship, securing the prestigious title, owned by Theresa Lungwitz – Royal T Arabians, following a breathtaking performance that captivated the judging panel and audience alike. This victory marked a high point for the weekend, with both the competitors and audience celebrating exceptional skill and artistry.

Upon arrival, impeccably dressed guests were greeted by women wearing vintage pañuelos adorned with sequins, evoking the glitz and glamour of a bygone era. A live Latin band played as dancers moved to the rhythm of salsa, and mambo, and artisans hand-rolled Cuban cigars just steps away. It felt like stepping into Havana—an open-air village pulsing with culture and elegance, where every detail, from the music to the welcome, was designed to enchant. The immersive event village came alive with activity throughout the weekend, with culinary pop-ups, luxury retail, and cultural showcases paying tribute to the spirit of Miami. The event was presented by Qatar Airways and supported by Richard Mille.

Guests moved between the open-air event village and the championship ring as if gliding through a vignette-like experience, where world-class equestrian sport and standout musical performances came together in perfect synergy. Once inside, those in attendance sampled exceptional, world-class cuisine throughout the weekend, thanks to a VIP hospitality experience curated by the acclaimed Major Food Group. Culinary offerings came from renowned restaurants Carbone, ZZ’s, and Sadelle’s, while striking presentation and flawless service elevated every moment. Beautiful servers from Baybes added to the high-end atmosphere—not only supporting the culinary experience but also appearing as GCAT’s official ring girls.

The event was also a visual feast, drawing out Miami’s fashion elite. Style was everywhere—from designer dresses and tailored suiting to bold resort wear and statement accessories. This wasn’t just an equestrian event but a cultural spectacle where sport, exceptional cuisine, fashion, and music came together in perfect harmony. On Thursday evening, 17-time Grammy Award-winning artist Sting delivered a surprise beachfront performance that quickly became the talk of the town. His set, which included some of his iconic hits like “Message in a Bottle” and “Desert Rose,” was a highlight of the weekend. The crowd, buzzing with excitement, couldn’t stop talking about the unforgettable performance the next day. His appearance elevated the weekend to new heights, drawing a star-studded crowd, including Jeff Bezos, DJ Khaled, FIFA World Cup President Gianni Infantino, Real Housewives of Miami’s Lisa Hochstein, Julia Lemigova, and Kiki Barth, former Miami Dolphins player Jon Vilma, businessman Michael Cayre, Etienne Sabino, Emily Austin, Jamie Reuben, Mario Carbone, Jeff Zalaznick, and more.

On Saturday night, Miami’s own Flo Rida took the stage, delivering a high-octane performance that had the crowd on their feet. He jumped off stage and made his way into the crowd, where fans, watching from an elevated area, were thrilled to join him as he handed over his microphone, letting them sing along. The moment was electric, as Flo Rida shared a truly unforgettable connection with his audience. Following Flo Rida’s performance, DJ Khaled kept the energy going with a surprise encore, singing his anthem “All I Do Is Win,” capping off the night with a show-stopping finale. Flo Rida was joined by DJ Khaled, Jeremy Piven, Terrence J, model Karolina Kurkova, Julia Lemigova, tennis legend Martina Navratilova, entrepreneur Bethenny Frankel, FIFA World Cup President Gianni Infantino, and philanthropists Alexia Nepola and Alexis Stoudamire. The Mayor of Miami, Francis Suarez, was also in attendance, keeping the beachside crowd dancing well into the night.
