A Night of Flavor, Rhythm, and Miami’s Spirit at the Sonrisa Rum Launch
For Fat Joe, Miami isn’t just a city—it’s home. With his Puerto Rican roots and deep connection to the city, launching Sonrisa Rum, a premium Puerto Rican rum crafted with the finest ingredients, was a natural fit. Known for its smooth quality and rich flavor, Sonrisa Rum embodies the spirit of Puerto Rico, making it an ideal addition to the heart of Miami. On May 1st, during the excitement of Formula 1 Miami Race Week, when the city was filled with visitors from around the world, Fat Joe hosted an unforgettable evening at Bleau Bar inside the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach, in partnership with Haute Living. The event felt more like a family reunion than a brand launch, drawing together both locals and visitors to celebrate the city’s culture, energy, and undeniable spirit.

At the center of it all were Sonrisa Rum’s co-founders, Jae Goodman and Shareef Malnik, who joined Fat Joe behind the bar as the crowd gathered around. The trio didn’t just serve drinks—they brought people into the story of Sonrisa, pouring signature cocktails like the Charred Pineapple O.F., Pink Flamingo, and Island Runner with a side of conversation and connection. Joe kept the mood personal—handing out Sonrisa hats and later jumping behind the DJ booth for surprise performances of “What’s Luv?” and “All The Way Up,” turning the launch into a full-blown celebration.

Guests reveled in the perfect fusion of music, community, and quality rum. Sonrisa Rum is now available across select bars throughout Fontainebleau Miami Beach, further solidifying its place in one of the city’s most iconic venues. As a partner in Sonrisa, Fat Joe’s presence not only celebrated the brand’s arrival but also reinforced its commitment to creating elevated experiences rooted in flavor, tradition, and a strong sense of place.
