During my visit to the Bentley Residences Sales Gallery, I toured the model unit and had the chance to experience the development’s innovative features firsthand. After the tour, I sat down with Gil Dezer for a one-on-one conversation, during which we discussed the cutting-edge Dezervator (the patented car elevator) and wellness-focused features, including the 114-square-foot pet spa and sea-view beauty salon. Beyond his impressive track record, Dezer’s charismatic energy is undeniable. In our conversation, his passion for the project was immediately evident as he spoke about elevating high-end real estate through visionary design and meticulous craftsmanship, with a particular focus on the Dezervator. This standout feature enables residents to enjoy unmatched privacy and convenience—two defining aspects of Bentley Residences.
The design of Bentley Residences is incredibly eye-catching. Can you share what inspired its bold, distinctive look?
Gil Dezer: The design began with the interior. Our primary focus was creating layouts that were both functional and luxurious, which in turn shaped the building’s exterior. For the façade, we wanted something extraordinary and unmistakably Bentley. That led us to incorporate the diamond-patterned windows, inspired by Bentley’s signature design.
Realizing this design was a significant challenge. These diamond windows had never been done before, so we had to undergo product approval, conduct hurricane testing, and refine every detail. But we made it happen, and now Bentley Residences stands as a one-of-a-kind architectural achievement that you won’t find anywhere else.
Bentley is synonymous with bespoke luxury—how did this translate into residential features like the pet spa, beauty salon, and other lifestyle amenities?
Gil Dezer: When we sat with Bentley, we asked, what is it that your customers enjoy and prioritize? Pets were a big part of that conversation. The hair salon was something we had already done at Porsche Design Tower, but the pet spa was an addition we recognized as a necessity. Taking your pet to an outside groomer can be a hassle—waiting hours for them to be done. We eliminated that inconvenience. Now, residents can simply bring their pets downstairs for grooming and care, all within the comfort of their own building.
“We also included a children’s playroom, so if it’s a rainy day and you can’t go to the beach, there’s a great indoor space for kids to enjoy. Nannies can take them down there for activities, making it another convenience for residents. And of course, we have a sea-view beauty salon. It offers on-site hair, manicure, pedicure, and makeup services, giving residents the convenience of world-class beauty treatments without leaving the building.”
Furthermore, we’re thrilled to have Todd English, a four-time James Beard Award-winning chef, creating a dining experience for our residents. His restaurant offers an exclusive, elevated culinary experience, with the option for room service and food pairings, right here in the building. It’s truly a full-service experience—like living in a five-star hotel, but without hotel guests.
The Dezervator car elevator is a game-changer. How did it evolve, and what makes it stand out?
Gil Dezer: We patented the entire car elevator concept—so you won’t find this technology anywhere else unless I build it. We first introduced it at the Porsche Design Tower, and now we’ve perfected it for Bentley Residences.
“The real luxury of the Dezervator is privacy. Residents never have to deal with valet service, interact with neighbors, or worry about parking. You simply drive into the elevator, and within moments, you and your car are inside your private sky garage. It changes the way you experience high-rise living. You don’t need to dress up just to leave the building or interact with others unless you want to. It’s about privacy and convenience—something that most people crave. While the idea started with showcasing cars in your living room, the bigger realization was the level of privacy it provides. Now, residents can come and go without anyone else in the building even knowing.”
What updates can you share about the penthouse level?
Gil Dezer: The penthouses are absolutely next level. Each one spans 18,000 square feet over two floors, featuring two private swimming pools—one on the roof and one on the main level.
They come with six bedrooms and a seven-car garage. The experience is unlike anything else in Miami. We’re pricing them at $35 million each, and as of now, we may have already sold one.
How has the market responded to Bentley Residences so far?
Gil Dezer: The response has been phenomenal. We’re already half sold, with an average price of $8.5 million per unit. Buyers from around the world are drawn to our innovative design, oversized balconies, and privacy-focused living.
As an avid automotive enthusiast, if you had to pick one car from your collection for the ultimate road trip, which would you choose and where would you go?
Gil Dezer: Oh, I… Well, that’s not a fair question because I do the Gumball Rally every year, which is like a road trip. It’s a one-week trip, and each year is in a different place. This year, we’ll be driving from Istanbul through Romania, Bulgaria, Eastern Europe, France, and into Spain, and then probably to Ibiza. I do these road trips once a year, and my car of choice is a Porsche GT2 RS—an incredibly fast 911 Porsche that’s perfect for the adventure.
Oh yeah, with Mr. Gumball 3000! I’m a fan of his wife Eve, she’s incredible.
Gil Dezer: Max! Yes, Max and I are great friends. I know Eve and Max very well. They’re amazing people.
