Love is in the air and wedding bell will soon be ringing for Mariah Carey and James Packer.
Was it love at first sight? The couple had been seeing each other for only about a year but fell head over heels for one another quick. The fairy tale love affair gets more serious when Packer planned a special dinner at Eleven Madison Park in New York City with some of Mariah’s close friends.
It should be no surprise the Australian billionaire got down on one knee for the multi-GRAMMY winner in the singer’s hometown. Just last night he presented her with what can only be described at the most breathtaking engagement ring. Sources say Mariah’s new bling comes at around 35 carats and that no date has been set yet.
The flame first started when they first met at a movie premiere in Aspen. “We were talking and laughing and people were getting mad at us and stuff like that. So we hit it off.”, she told Steve Harvey. And from there things really started to heat up as their friendship turned into romance.
