My 3 favorite shows of Milan Fashion Week SS 2024

On September 21, during the peak of Milan Fashion Week, I attended three unmissable shows, diving into the intriguing and unexpected trends for Spring/Summer 2024. These showcases underscored the designers’ prowess and highlighted fashion’s evolution, seamlessly blending age-old tradition with innovative vision. Milan’s streets thrummed with eager anticipation, and every presentation etched a lasting impression, heralding an exhilarating upcoming season.

The presentation of the Alberta Ferretti collection took place at Castello Sforzesco in the historic center of Milan, where I shared the front-row with Caro Daur. Alberta readapted the garments, with a predominance of shirt dresses. The color palette featured neutral shades of white, pink, and blue, along with metallic elements, prints, flowers, stripes and fringes as the main ornamental elements. Her proposal fuses comfort and elegance through the use of airy fabrics, light cotton, and flowing drapes. These dynamic designs denote the natural and classic femininity of the brand.

The Prada fashion show was held at the Prada Foundation, and I was pleased to meet the talented artists Emma Watts, Rosalia, and Kylie Jenner. The collection stood out for its bold choice of dark tones and hypnotic midi dresses in pastel shades full of movement. The design explores contrasts in textures, lengths and details, reminiscent of the 60s and influenced by men’s tailoring.

One of my favorite collections was Dolce & Gabbana, which I attended with Pelayo Díaz, Michelle Salas and Alessandra Ambrosio. The show was a charming ode to powerful feminine sensuality with a rocker spirit. The collection revolves around streamlined silhouettes, the seductive fusion of black and white, an elegant 60s vibe and sumptuous textures. In the VIP area, Stefano and Domenico greeted their closest friends. It is truly an honor to be part of this great family.
