Shae Williams: Hard work and Dedication

Hard work is the price that you will have to pay in order to be successful in life and that is what Shae Williams is about. She has been through some rough patches in her life and now she is ready and determined to make her voice shine with the stars. Shae has been in the music world for a very long time. It all started out when she was a little girl in church. A lot of her mentors, as well as her peers urged her on to sing and from that moment they gave her that microphone she knew music was her passion.

“I always had a gospel background when it came to music, but I really wanted to branch out and become an R&B artist. I felt like R&B was dying and I knew that was a task, as well as a challenge that I could handle. I felt that my voice had a purpose within the texture of a R&B and I could invite a lot of fans back into the world of what R&B was suppose to sound like.”

Over the years R&B has expanding into a display of what love is supposed to be felt like and Shae had explained what love meant to her in her song Ready. “Ready was the title of my song, because I felt like that I am fully ready to come out and give it my all. I had some past experiences that paused what I was trying to accomplish at that time. Ready is about the growth of what music, as well as love is supposed to be felt like. You can not rush things and expect everything to be perfect. If you rush you might find yourself missing a step that you may need in order to complete to become more than average.”

In this field of work you will have people that will say yes or no to your work, but you have to keep pushing forward. “Any no that you will get is a sign from God that is saying it is not your time and be patient. You have to understand many doors will close, but if you remain humble and keep God first you will have a bigger opportunity ahead of you.”

Many people portray different aspects about their character on how they dress and speak, but Shae has kept it very eloquent with how she responds to certain situations as well as how she dresses. “I will not have my body displayed in a degrading way. I have children and I do not want them to think it is okay for a woman to be dressed in a degrading way. That is why a lot of people in the industry respect me. They know I do not play that. I want people to see me for my character, voice, and what I have to bring to the table.” I have a support system within my church, as well as my parents. You just have to present yourself with dignity truth be told.”

There are many pros and cons with being in the music industry, but the thing that makes Shae different is just how she talks about the upbringing of being a role model. You see some much negativity and our youth dying and Shae wants to help people that are discourage or help them get back on track. “We have so many youth out here that are dying, single parents, or just having negative influences that stop them from their dreams. I believe as not just an artist, but as a person we have to help encourage each other. It is so hard out here without a support system and I honestly want to blessed people with an encouraging word. Stay lifted in the word or stay in a positive atmosphere and you will have peace within yourself.
