At the VIP kick-off party on Thursday, September 8, Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida and InterContinental® invited a select few top donors in anticipation of this season’s gala. Guests were able to experience beforehand La Nuit de l’Animal—this year’s signature theme—and enjoy some (but definitely not all) of the excitement to come.
The official date for the Make A Wish Ball is on Saturday, November 12, at the InterContinental Miami. Hosted by Robert Hill, Gala Host and General Manager of InterContinental Miami; Shareef Malnik, Gala Chairman, Chairman’s Society Member, Chairman of the Board for Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida and owner of The Forge Restaurant l Wine Bar and Norman Wedderburn, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida – the trio affectionately known as the “Three Amigos.”
Exquisite decorations, mouthwatering cocktails, an elaborate dinner, and breathtaking live performances attract thousands of Florida’s most prominent leaders and socialites. Previous guests have included Marc Anthony, Diana Ross, Paula Abdul, Sharon Stone, Pamela Anderson, Wayne Newton, Richie Rich, Kim Kardashian and Venus and Serena Williams, D.J. Cassidy and D.J. Irie. The 2016 lineup holds many surprises but promises to be just as entertaining. The fashion show and lavish Live&Silent Auction return as iconic favorites this year as well.

What makes this spectacular event a truly memorable and important occasion, however, is its role as a fundraiser for children. Over 21 years, the Ball has raised more than $19 million. Which granted the heartfelt wishes of more than 3,970 kids with life-threatening medical conditions. Guests are invited to take the opportunity to change a life and create memorable experiences, all while enjoying a spectacular evening.
And judging by the immense success of previous events, as well as the excitement brought on by the kick-off party, the 22nd Annual InterContinental Miami Make-A-Wish Ball promises to be a sight you won’t want to miss.
