Lets observe the inner depth of a person that made them the person that they are today. Shayla Hale is an actress that is very passionate about living her dream in the eye of the screen. She has a lot of talent and it was seen with her leading role in RoomieloversFriends in which she earned an award at the American Black Film Festival for Best Web Series. “I was so excited with getting that award. I worked so hard and it was a blessing that I was able to win an award that I did not even know I was going to get. It is a lot of talent out there, and to get the award was amazing.”
When Shayla is not acting on the screen she is helping out her community. She does this by mentoring the youth and giving them a positive message. “Outside of acting I really enjoy uplifting people. It is a lot of negativity outside and somewhere down the line people forgot that we need to help these young children and be a role model that they look up to. When I look at the violence on television or the children that were swept away in the system, it hurts my soul. I want to reach every child that I talk to and let them know it is alright to have a positive mindset, dreams, and goals if they stay committed to a path of goodness.”
Another activity Shayla loves to do when she is not acting is going to church. “There is nothing like having God in life. When I am going through tough times or just need an uplifting message, I will just go to the bible. Reading and reflecting on the bible keeps me in a positive aspect when I am going through life obstacles. It gives me that spiritual drive that keeps me going.”
Shayla has done some modeling in the past, but really enjoys being an actress. “I just love acting. Acting just comes natural and I am so in love with my career in this field. It just so many creative ways I could portray a character and make the audience feel like they are walking in the shoes of the character that is seen on the screen. 
“The pros with being in this business is the many people that you connect with. Everybody has a story and it is amazing with just to their personal experiences and see how they have grown in this field. The traveling is fun as well, but the cons in this business is you are always busy. As an actor or actress you have to be ready for any and everything. There is no down time and having a social life can be hard. I couldn’t reach out to my friends, because I was so busy with my lifestyle and at that time they could not understand what I was trying to accomplish. There are many things that can hinder you as well, but you have to remain focus and never lower your standards. There will always be a person that will tell you a no, but I personally feel a no is a way of God telling you that another door will open up. You just have to remain humble and keep striving for better.”
