Ghana’s celebrated mixed media artists are recognized by the fine art fair as progressive visionaries for their unique gallery of intricate works made with recycled sawdust.
Alfred Addo, the celebrated Ghanaian mixed-media artist, has achieved another milestone in his illustrious career. During this year’s Miami Art Week at the Mana Wynwood Convention Center, Addo was honored with the esteemed “Best New Exhibitor” award by Red Dot Miami. Presented by Linda Mariano, Marketing Managing Director of Redwood Art Group, the accolade highlights Addo’s groundbreaking work showcased under the Addo Gallery banner.
The gallery’s display at Red Dot Miami included Alfred’s renowned sawdust-and-recycled-plastics sculptures alongside vibrant acrylic and resin works created by his brothers. This marked the first time the Addo family’s collaborative collection had been featured at Miami Art Week, offering a diverse array of ethnic and contemporary pieces that captivated attendees.
