From its 2022 debut to a 10-year extension, the Miami Grand Prix keeps raising the bar for F1 in the U.S.

The FORMULA 1 CRYPTO.COM MIAMI GRAND PRIX has been named Promoter of the Year at the 38th annual Autosport Awards, held at London’s Roundhouse on January 21. The award highlights excellence in event organization, fan engagement, and innovation, and recognizes the team behind the race, South Florida Motorsports.

Since its debut in 2022 at the Miami International Autodrome near Hard Rock Stadium, the Grand Prix has quickly become one of Formula 1’s standout events. The race has set new benchmarks for live entertainment, hospitality, and fan experiences in the United States. Last year, the event secured a 10-year extension, ensuring F1 will continue in Miami through 2041.

Tom Garfinkel, Managing Partner of the Miami Grand Prix, said, “Being recognized as Promoter of the Year by Autosport is an incredible honor. This award reflects the dedication and passion of our team in Miami. From the very first race, Stephen Ross and I have aimed to create a world-class experience for drivers, teams, and fans. We are grateful to our partners and the F1 community and remain committed to raising the bar each year.”

Often referred to as the ‘Oscars of Motorsport,’ the Autosport Awards have celebrated the sport’s top achievers since the mid-1980s, bringing together drivers, engineers, and team leaders for an evening of recognition. This honor follows South Florida Motorsports’ 2024 Promoter of the Year accolade from Formula 1.
