Did Someone Say Pac Man and DeLoreans?
Calling all fans and fanatics of the iconic eighties—take an unforgettable trip back in time to the days of big hair, bold colors and MTV-inspired tunes on January 25 in Delray Beach at the Community Classroom Program’s Back to Your Future fundraiser.
Transforming Delray’s historic Clarke House into an Instagrammable eighties sound and light extravaganza, the spirit of the decade will come alive with pulsating neon lights, nostalgic movie and concert wall decor, artwork, pop memorabilia and all manner of period paraphernalia including video and arcade games—did someone say Pac Man?–boom boxes and much more.
While reveling in the atmosphere, guests will be treated to creative time-capsule cocktails and tempting light bites from more than 15 top restaurants. Extending the mood, event-goers can groove to live music from The Heavy Pets inspired by Madona, Prince, Michael Jackson and cool-as-a-cucumber David Bowie.
In between sets, DJ Johnny Quest will keep the vibes and energy going. So don’t forget your most colorful disco attire, Footloose attitude and Dirty Dancing moves.
The Community Classroom Project provides experiential learning, educational resources, entrepreneurship opportunities and scholarships for South Florida youth. Its Community Classroom Kitchen project enhances mental and physical health through the art of cooking and communal dining.
