SOBEWFF Sunset Feast 2026 Blends Star Chefs, Bold Flavors and Glowing Waterfront Scenery

Hosted by culinary stars Jeremy Ford and Gio Gutierrez, the 2026 Sunset Feast on Saturday, February 21, stood out as an evening where the city’s flavors, personalities, and creative energy converged against a glowing waterfront sky.

As part of South Beach Wine & Food Festival (SOBEWFF), this all-inclusive walk-around tasting transformed the historic Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Coconut Grove into a vibrant waterfront celebration of Miami’s culinary scene, timed to capture the city’s legendary golden sunset hour.

The venue, a 1918 landmark perched on the water at Regatta Harbour, provided an idyllic backdrop. As the sun dipped below the horizon casting a glow on Biscayne Bay, guests wandered through an open-air space buzzing with energy. The event delivered unlimited bold bites, handcrafted cocktails and live entertainment.

Jeremy Ford, the Top Chef Season 13 winner, Michelin-star chef behind Stubborn Seed and James Beard semifinalist, brought his innovative, precise style to the helm. Partnered with Grove Bay Hospitality Group since opening Stubborn Seed in 2017, Ford’s influence permeated the evening. Co-host Gio Gutierrez, the charismatic founder of Chat Chow TV, award-winning media personality and spirits expert, infused the night with engaging storytelling and cocktail creativity, making the duo an ideal match for this elevated yet approachable gathering.

The powerhouse lineup included more than 20 South Florida chefs and mixologists from their portfolio and extended network.

Guests savored inventive small plates that fused global influences with local ingredients. Participating eateries spanned Miami’s diverse scene: Kenny Gilbert’s House of Birds + Drop Biscuits wowed with Korean BBQ duck meatballs, while guests could not get enough of the Bayshore Club’s grilled salmon Moroccan skewer. Glass and Vine took a different direction with Chinese stuffed yucca fritters. Everglade Oysters served up a tempting Florida-fresh Everglades oyster dish. The Piefather delivered inventive, savory meatball dumplings.

Other notable contributing chefs included Ana De Sa Martins & Juan Vieira, Alex Aportela, Janine Booth, Diego Calvo, Marcelo Daguerre, Raquel Figueroa, Jeremy Kermisch, Logan McNeil, Anièce Meinhold, Giovanni Pisfil, Jacopo Rosito, and Cesar Zapata.

Cocktails flowed freely, featuring premium pours from sponsors like Zacapa Rum, Bene Spirits, Cervecería La Tropical, Justin Wine, and others, expertly mixed to complement the food and sunset vibe.

Live entertainment kept the atmosphere electric, with music pulsing through the Hangar to match Miami’s signature energy. The blend of live tunes, waterfront views, and mingling guests created a festive, communal feel—perfect for toasting as the sky darkened and lights twinkled over the water.

Part of SOBEWFF’s 25th anniversary celebration (February 19–22, 2026), the Sunset Feast exemplifies the festival’s evolution—elevating local talent while embracing Miami’s waterfront setting. It wasn’t just a culinary experience, memorable cuisine, creative drinks, live music, friendly vibes, and sunset splendor. Guests left already anticipating next year’s event.
