Tournament of Champions LIVE: Where Top Chefs Battle and Guests Feast

As the sun dipped behind the skyline and the surf rolled in with its signature South Beach style, the 2026 Tournament of Champions LIVE at the South Beach Wine & Food Festival unleashed a whirlwind of culinary energy that only Guy Fieri, charismatic ringmaster of culinary chaos, and a roster of all-star chefs could conjure. The event was a highlight of the festival’s 25th anniversary celebration, delivering nonstop excitement, memorable flavors, and the high energy synonymous with the festival on the Miami Beach sand. This live adaptation of the popular Food Network series, hosted by Guy Fieri, transformed the American Airlines® North Venue into a high-stakes culinary showdown and tantalizing tasting experience, perfect for a Miami weekend night.

The chef’s contest brought together five powerhouse Tournament of Champions winners—Brooke Williamson, Maneet Chauhan, Tiffani Faison, Mei Linand Antonia Lofaso. Each led a team of five well-recognized restaurant chefs from around the country who busily prepared signature dishes, unleashing creative, bold flavors.

The atmosphere sizzled with excitement as guests mixed, mingled and feasted upon these delicious offerings at 25 interactive tasting stations. The crowd’s enthusiasm was electric as thousands sampled, savored and voted People’s-Choice style for their favorites, making every bite feel like a part of the competition.

Chefs from across the country flew in for the event. Chef Christa Ludetke of Boon Eat & Drink served mouthwatering smoky grilled lamb skewers balanced with a hint of mint, accompanied by Moroccan couscous and yogurt. She traveled from California for the event. Adding vibrant Asian flair, chef Shota Nakajima of Nakajima Catering delighted guests with salmon nanban, a classic Japanese fried salmon in a savory soy‑vinegar sauce.

From Texas, chef Tim Love of The Lonesome Dove offered a soulful plate of Duck Pozole layered with hominy chili, radish and cilantro. Seafood was tastefully represented by chef Sara Bradley of Freight House with West Indies lump crab salad accented with apple vinegar. She hailed from Paducah, Kentucky.

Other standout dishes building buzz included Dale Talde’s signature Kung Pao chicken wings—sweet, spicy, and addictive—paired with turmeric caramel–smashed fingerling potatoes, and Lee Anne Wong’s tropical TOC Luau Sundae, featuring coconut gelato, rum coffee caramel, Maui Gold pineapple sauce, and salted coconut macadamia‑nut crunch—a refreshing, tropical‑inspired treat that perfectly captured the Miami vibe.

Adding to the spectacle were the headline musical performers who kept the beachfront alive with music. High-energy rock from Red Voodoo energized the early evening as chefs cooked and crowds gathered, building momentum for the main event. Then came the showstopper: a special live performance by legendary hip-hop icon Rev Run, founding member of RUN DMC, whose set brought the house down with classic hits and unstoppable energy, turning the culinary showdown into a full-on party under the stars.

When the final dishes were served and the votes tallied, Antonia Lofaso’s team was crowned winner of the competition for their inventive, crowd-pleasing bites. The energy was palpable as the announcement was met with congratulations and cheers—the perfect payoff to an intense evening of culinary creativity and friendly rivalry.

The Tournament of Champions represented what makes SOBEWFF so special—world-class food, star power, audience involvement and Miami’s signature flair. For foodies and music lovers, the Tournament of Champions LIVE was a must-attend, one of the most fun and flavorful nights of the festival.
