Celebrities from RHOM, TLC, and Hollywood converge in Magic City to watch the best players from the World Polo League

April 23, 2023; Miami, FL – Team Blackfin claimed the Beach Polo World Cup championship, as the World Polo League took over Miami Beach from April 20 to April 23. The Beach Polo World Cup is the most prestigious polo event in the world, with thousands of fans attending the competition. 

The three-person team featured TC Grant Ganzi, Nic Roldan, and Juan Bollini Jr. Team Blackfin saw off the challenge of The Setai in the final by a score of 10-7.5 Roldan also captured the Most Valuable Player award as he was recognized for having an outstanding tournament.

The four-day event not only brought out the best of the competitors, but it attracted a variety of notable celebrities. Alexia Echevarria and Marysol Patton from the Real Housewives of Miami, TLC reality stars Darcey and Stacey Silva, actor Vincent De Paul and many more celebrities were on hand for the equestrian extravaganza.

The Beach Polo World Cup took place at Miami’s Collins Park, and created a fusion of polo, fashion, and luxury. Some of the best polo players in the world were on hand, and the high-scoring matches didn’t disappoint spectators.

The action-packed weekend featured opulent food and beverage, a curated retail village, and a series of off-site events. The Beach Polo World Cup drew more than 12,000 visitors over the course of the weekend to the pristine sands of Miami Beach. Some came to watch the matches, while others experienced the unique atmosphere of the tournament held annually in Magic City.

The 2023 Beach Polo World Cup featured eight international teams with players from over 10 countries and more than 120 horses. Elite polo players included “the David Beckham of polo” Nacho Figueras, polo legend Pablo Mac Donough, event co-founder Melissa Ganzi, and fan-favorite Alejandro Novillo Astrada.

While the polo tournament’s stars shimmered on the white sands of Miami Beach with fast-paced action, off the polo pitch, the event supported the equestrian community. The Beach Polo World Cup partnered with the Museum of Polo and Hall of Fame, and The Polo Training Association to raise funds.
