The 2020 Launch Music Awards (LMA) is taking place this Labor Day weekend and will be one of the biggest virtual events of the year. The super-star packed award show is honoring the late Betty Wright, Flo Rida, Pitbull, DJ Khaled, Inner Circle, and 2 Live Crew. The LMA’s will be awarding these legends with an Icon Award for their incredible musical contribution.

Here is a glimpse of the Icon Award honorees:  Inner Circle, known as the Bad Boys of reggae, for transforming the sound of reggae music forever; the late legend Betty Wright for her lasting R&B legacy; and 2 Live Crew for their sheer determination to fight censorship to make the music they wanted.

The LMA’s will also be honoring DJ Khaled and Pitbull with the Game Changers.  The authenticity, versatility, and creativity they bring to their music, and their acts of service to the community have been paramount to the music industry.

The LMA’s recently announced that Flo Rida is this year’s Humanitarian of the Year Award winner. Flo Rida is an accomplished artist, having sold over 100 million records. Still, his impact and contributions to this community have been just as impressive.  Congratulations, Flo Rida!
