Serving over 2200 children and their families, providing them with essential school supplies for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year.

As the summer season nears its end, and the back-to-school rush begins,  The Little Lighthouse Foundation (LLF, a cherished non-profit organization in South Florida, is gearing up for their highly anticipated Back to School Specialty Program. The event is scheduled for Friday, August 4th, and will be hosted at the prestigious Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). After a successful fundraising campaign during Miami Swim Week, raising an impressive $30,000, LLF is poised to make a meaningful impact on the lives of underserved children by providing them with essential school supplies to start the academic year on the right foot.

The Back to School program, a testament to LLF’s commitment to educational equity, will span two days. On August 3rd, LLF’s passionate volunteers will be actively involved in distributing school supplies directly to partner facilities such as Global Empower Mission (GEM) and Perez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). These dedicated volunteers will work tirelessly to organize and pack the much-needed supplies, laying the groundwork for the main event on August 4th. Among the beneficiaries of LLF’s generosity are esteemed organizations including Chapman Partnership, The Motivational Edge, Breakthrough Miami, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Miami (BBBS), among others.

The heart of the Back to School Specialty Program lies in its main event, hosted at the iconic Perez Art Museum Miami. Starting at 11:30 AM and continuing until 2:30 PM, the event promises an array of interactive activities for children and families to enjoy. Furthermore, attendees will have the unique opportunity to explore PAMM’s current exhibition, providing a culturally stimulating experience for all. LLF volunteers will be on hand to ensure a seamless distribution of essential school supplies, including backpacks, composition notebooks, spiral notebooks, wide-ruled paper, binders, pocket folders, highlighters, pencils, pens, crayons, markers, and erasers to excited children.
