On March. 7th, the Baltimore Ravens’ season had just begun with the competition of finding the perfect fit of ladies to join the Raven’s cheerleading squad. This year will be their 18th season in the league.
Ravens’ Cheerleading Head coach Tina Galdieri was very excited about the tryouts, as well as the upcoming season for the cheerleaders. “Cheerleading tryouts are not only a time when new people can step up and join our team, but veterans are also expected to improve their skills to remain on the squad. We look forward to seeing even more talented athletes this year who will strive to become a part of the Ravens’ organization says Tina.
The anticipation was building as soon as these participants stepped on the floor. Some of the ladies were stretching, talking, and meditating before their big day.
The day started off with the Ravens’ cheerleaders teaching the choreography to the participants. Some of the ladies struggled with maintaining great body structure and doing the routine, while others quickly grasp the routine.
“The hardest part with cheerleading is making sure everything is perfect. We want to make sure that we have done our job with entertaining the crowd says an unanimous source.”
Also the Baltimore Raven’s cheerleaders are known to be stunting to entertain their audience and that was also in tryouts.
There were over 200 participants that had tried out for the role as a Baltimore Cheerleader on Saturday, however those participants that had went to the final cut would have to compete with the veteran cheerleaders for a spot on the rooster.
The competition did not disappoint. The girls came out there with their game faces on and was determined to make sure steps, body control, and smiles were perfect. It would be great to have these cheerleaders cheering on their fantasy football!
