Hall of Fame running back Thurman Thomas is known for his off the wall surprises, but this week Thomas had given three different families something that they will always remember. Thomas decided to hand out season tickets to random fans and families, because the organization had a record setting year and he wanted to express how much it meant to him that the fans supported the Buffalo Bills’ effort.
The people that had gotten season tickets were a Lackawanna cop, father and son from Cheektowaga, and famous Bills chef duo who all thought they were simply being interviewed in their own homes on their favorite parts of being dedicated Bills fans, but actually were handed season tickets and their expressions were a sight to see. Some of the families could not believe that Thomas were offering them season tickets to the games or the fact that he had delivered them in person. There were tears, hugs, and many smiles that lit up the hearts of families, as well as Thomas’s heart.
This gracious gesture is a reminder that even the smallest things in life can impact a person in a huge way.
