MIAMI, Sept. 17, 2014– Nightlife icon Michael Capponi and software guru Gideon Kimbrell announced the planned rollout of their revolutionary mobile app InList Tuesday evening on the rooftop of the Dream Downtown in New York with Katie Holmes, Rohan Marley and DuJour Magazine Founder Jason Binn.
InList is a members-only mobile app that enables users to book coveted reservations at a curated list of music festivals and upscale nightlife venues around the world. The app is currently providing recommendations to over 100 exclusive venues in 22 nightlife capitals including New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, London, Paris,Moscow, Ibiza, Dubai, Milan and Sao Paolo.
Michael Capponi, a hyper-connected nightlife impresario considered one of the original pioneers of South Beach, tapped his global network of club owners and promoters to launch InList and its proprietary platform was developed by serial entrepreneur and software engineer Gideon Kimbrell.
Capponi sees the InList concept as long overdue. “This is the future of nightlife. In a global market drawn together by remarkably advanced mobile devices, a platform like ours is the logical next step for the nightlife, entertainment and event industries,” he said.
The event, co-hosted by DuJour magazine, drew a discerning, well-travelled group of entertainment, hospitality, fashion, and real estate notables.
Guests included CEO of Cablevision Jim Dolan, CEO of Furla USA Jim Mullaney, Gilt’s Keith George, founder of Dream Hotels Vikram Chatwal, co-head of talent at ICM Partners Adam Schweitzer, LVMH’s Gena Smith, NBC reporter Brian Steel, editor-in-chief of DuJour Media Nicole Vecchiarelli, Jane and Richie Notar of Notar Hospitality, Shawn Modell of Modell Sports, Mari Vanna’s Tatiana Brunetti, Zegna’s Shauna Brook, Roberto Cavalli’s Cristiano Mancini, Max Mara’s Veronica Pankratova, LeFrak’s Camille Douglas, A Small World founder Erik Wachtmeister, Moinian Group’s Natasha Vardi, and Maserati’s Eric Sheiffer.
The InList app is available for iPhone and Android and will continue expansion to include another set of international nightlife capitals. By appealing to both the iPhone and Android market, they have a much better chance of being able to increase app installs, and by incorporating mobile app advertisements, they will be getting paid to serve adverts within their app, which will benefit a lot of parties going forward. As well as this, there are also plans to introduce a web platform for online bookings under the direction of Kimbrell, previously a software engineer for various Fortune 100 Companies including Johnson & Johnson and Barnes & Noble, where he developed engineering systems used by millions of people worldwide.
