On Dec 5th, 2015, artist Domingo Zapata brought out an elite crowd for his invite only “Angels on Earth” charity event and raised over $10,000 to support Miami’s Latin artist community. The grand event during Art Basel featured a silent auction at Wall Nightclub by the W. Hotel in Miami Beach and patrons enjoyed a respite from the rain.

The renowned artist, whose work is a favorite of Hollywood A-listers Johnny Depp and Leonardo DiCaprio, collaborated with Gran Centenario Tequila for this exclusive event to raise money for Miami art organizations and Miami Children’s Hospital.

“Angels on Earth” featured a pair of angel wings painted in bright neon colors with black lettering done by Zapata. The artist, who has been dubbed “the new Andy Warhol,” looked fresh and stylish rocking a black leather jacket with an American flag on the back over a white v-neck and paint-splattered jeans with his gorgeous girlfriend by his side.

New York and Miami’s “socialite it boy,” Fabian Basabe, gave a speech to the attendees to encourage them to spend for a good cause as they enjoyed the Gran Centernario Tequilla tasting. The tequila was served by beautiful women clad in angels’ wings, perfectly complementing the night. All in all, it was a magical night and a highlight of this year’s Art Basel.
