Padel for Purpose Unites Miami for Animals and Children

From charity matches to heartfelt adoptions, the event blended sport, style, and generosity in true Miami fashion.

Over 600 guests gathered at Reserve Padel Miami for Padel For A Purpose, the Brady Hunter Foundation’s signature fundraiser celebrating community and compassion. The evening raised more than $150,000 in support of a nonprofit whose origins trace back to one man’s devotion to his dogs and a belief that all species deserve dignity and care.

Held on February 21, the event reflected the Foundation’s mission to protect animals and empower children. The Foundation began as a charitable fund in 2022 and formally launched as a nonprofit in 2023 with a philosophy shaped by founder Josh Fox’s own experiences with Brady and Hunter, the dogs whose names now guide the organisation’s work.

The night opened with a charity Pro‑Am padel tournament, where friendly competition and camaraderie anchored the start. Once the matches wrapped, the venue shifted into an evening of music, cocktails, and carefully prepared culinary treats. Guests enjoyed wines from Wölffer Estate Vineyard and cocktails featuring E11EVEN Vodka, alongside favourites from Joe’s Pizza and Sweet Melody Ice Cream. Vintage cars, a dancing LED robot, and water displays with fireworks from Aqua Sport Miami added extra flair to the evening, while canine-assisted therapy reminded guests of the cause at the heart of the event.

“This event truly embodied what the Brady Hunter Foundation stands for — purpose, connection, and action,” said Founder Josh Fox.

“Padel For A Purpose was not just a beautiful night in Miami; it was a powerful step forward. The support we received brings us closer to creating a sanctuary where vulnerable animals can heal, live freely, and be loved.”

The evening reached a tender, joyful moment when Tiny, a sweet dog from Miami-Dade Animal Services, moved through the crowd, drawing smiles with her gentle affection. Our own Editor‑in‑Chief, Sabrina Boasman, couldn’t resist her gentle nature, and by night’s end, Tiny had found a forever home, a vivid reminder of the Foundation’s focus on practical, life-changing results.

Guests also toured the South Florida Wildlife Center’s rescue ambulance, gifted by the Foundation, offering insight into the care involved in rehabilitating injured wildlife. A helicopter flyover from the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office emphasised the collaborative effort at the heart of these lifesaving initiatives.

This event truly reflected what the Brady Hunter Foundation stands for — purpose, connection and action,” said Founder Josh Fox. Chief of Philanthropy Paige Bresky added, “Seeing the community come together for animals and children showed us what’s possible when people act with intention.”

With its roots in animal compassion and community service, the Foundation’s work now spans rescue, rehabilitation, children’s programmes, environmental efforts and more, reflecting a broad commitment to uplifting the vulnerable at home and abroad.

The evening showed how sport, generosity and community can combine to make a real difference for animals and children alike.
