We’re incredibly proud to be bringing the film to audiences across the country, ” stated Seth Needle of Blue Harbor Entertainment.
Filmmaker Susanne Rostock commented: “After over seven decades of fervently fighting for a more compassionate and just world, Harry Belafonte was wrestling with the feeling of not having done enough. He turned to me and said with a great sense of urgency, “I am running out of time”. So began my over twelve-year journey capturing the inner workings of a movement in real time, Harry Belafonte handing off to the next generation everything he knew about power, art, and resistance before it was too late. Following Harry is intimate access to that reckoning: never-before-seen, and impossible to ignore. This is the blueprint how we learn from the past to save our future.”
Producer Edward Zeng commented: “I am thrilled to bring this incredible, behind the scenes look at Mr. Belafonte and his activism to the world with Blue Harbor Entertainment and shine a light on the next generation of leaders that we need so much during these times. I still remember Harry recording a special happy birthday song for me in the last few months of his life — a moment I will treasure forever.”
