Where aspiration stepped beyond the classroom and into public view.
The spirit of Italy drifted through the Miami Design District on May 20 as Istituto Marangoni Miami (IMM) presented La Grande Bellezza, its annual graduation showcase dedicated to the next generation of fashion talent.
For one evening, Jungle Plaza became a crossroads between heritage and possibility. Beneath the lights, graduating designers unveiled collections that represented the culmination of years of study, experimentation, and creative growth. Each look offered a glimpse into a different perspective, weaving together precision tailoring, sculptural forms, delicate embellishment, and fluid silhouettes.
Now in its third year, La Grande Bellezza has evolved into more than a runway presentation. It serves as both a platform for emerging designers and a source of scholarship support through the Miami Fashion Foundation, helping open doors for future generations of creatives.

The runway unfolded as a conversation between tradition and innovation, reflecting the Italian influence at the heart of the institution while embracing the diverse voices shaping contemporary fashion. Rather than moving in a single direction, the collections revealed a rich spectrum of ideas, each designer bringing a distinct point of view to the catwalk.
Among those in attendance were Karolina Kurkova, Danny Santiago, Irma Martinez, Gabriela Medina, Jenny Lopez, Elle Ullman, and Roy Teng Moure, joined by members of Miami’s fashion, art, and cultural communities. Models prepared by Godina Worldwide and GWT Beauty carried the collections with confidence and poise, giving form to months of creative work.

Italian singer Arianna Bergamaschi performed during the event, extending the Italian thread that ran throughout the evening. Her career has included collaborations with Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bolton, Pitbull, Shaggy, Flo Rida, will.i.am, and Il Volo. The showcase was supported by longtime partner RADO.
Following the presentation, guests gathered at the Moore Building for an after-party featuring Lalo Tequila, Ethica Wines, and Rosetta Bakery.
Like a bridge between the classroom and the industry, La Grande Bellezza marked a turning point for the designers who took part. Their collections closed one chapter and quietly opened another, offering a glimpse of the talent poised to shape fashion’s future.
