The team plans a dedicated grandstand experience as Formula One prepares to return to the Miami International Autodrome.
Few teams carry the historic weight of Williams Racing. Founded in 1977 by the late Frank Williams and engineer Patrick Head, the British team became one of the most successful outfits in Formula One, claiming multiple constructors’ and drivers’ championships while helping define several eras of the sport.
As the team continues to reconnect with fans around the world, it is bringing a new experience to the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, scheduled for May 1–3, 2026. Williams will take over a dedicated grandstand at the Miami International Autodrome, offering supporters the opportunity to watch the race surrounded by fellow fans of the historic Grove-based team.
The grandstand package will include a special edition Atlassian Williams Racing cap and team flag, giving attendees the chance to visibly support the team throughout the race weekend. Ticket holders will also be entered into a draw for a meet-and-greet with drivers Alex Albon or Carlos Sainz at the team’s fan zone in Downtown Miami.
“Everyone at Atlassian Williams Racing is incredibly excited for the Grandstand Takeover in Miami and to see all our fans wearing Williams blue in The 305,” said Marcus Prosser, Marketing Director of Williams. “This initiative is the latest opportunity to get unparalleled access to the team, building on our phenomenal Fan Zones in city-centre race locations around the world and our unique online offerings.”

Prosser also pointed to the symbolic role Miami plays on the 2026 schedule. “With Miami being the first American race of the season, it is the perfect opportunity to do something special as we race around the home of the Miami Dolphins.”
For organizers of the Miami race, the collaboration reflects the event’s growing focus on immersive fan experiences.
“The fan experience is at the heart of everything we do at the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, and we’re excited to partner with Atlassian Williams Racing to create these unique collaborations for fans in Madrid and Miami,” said Katharina Nowak, President of the Miami Grand Prix. “The Williams Grandstand Takeover will bring an incredible atmosphere to the Miami International Autodrome, filling the grandstands with passionate Williams fans. This is our way to connect supporters across the world, and we can’t wait to welcome them to Miami Gardens for another spectacular event in 2026.”
For a team whose legacy spans decades of Formula One history, the Miami initiative represents more than just a seating section at a race. It is another step in strengthening the bond between one of the sport’s most storied teams and a new generation of fans discovering Formula One’s growing presence in the United States.
