Design on a Dime: 3 Day Home Decor Sale Is Coming To Miami

Now that you’ve watched enough episodes of Tidying Up With Maria Kondo to last a lifetime, shop the latest trends in interior decor from February 1st through the 3rd in Miami.

You can buy a ticket to Design on a Dime, a 3-day benefit and sale held at the Moore Building that makes it easy for guests to shop and raise money for Housing Works’ national campaign to end the AIDS epidemic.

Originally held annually in New York, Design on a Dime made it’s official debut in Wynwood Lab a few years ago. In 2016, the art-infused event that includes tastemakers and celebrity attendees raised $300,000.

Guests can shop donated interior decor products from brands such as Nicole White Designs, MONIOMI Design, A. Keith Powell, and many more between 50 and 80 percent off its retail price.

Participating interior designers will create unique room vignettes with new furniture, art, and home décor merchandise and share their work via the hashtag, #DOADMIA2019, across social media.

Hosted by Founding Chair James Huniford, DOAD kicks off with the Chairman’s Dinner and Cocktail Preview on Friday, February 1st, at 8 p.m., in the Moore Building’s private rooftop garden.

This year’s honorees are Avra Jain, founder of the Vagabond Group, and Wade Hallock, principal of Hallock Design Group.

The following night, Saturday, February 2, is the Opening Night Reception “VIP Preview” from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

The shopping sale (and general admission) is slated for 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., where guests can peruse home décor and art curated by designers.

The public sale will run on February 3rd, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All proceeds from Design on a Dime will fund Housing Works’ AIDS-Free USA 2025 campaign.

Housing Works is a New York-based leading advocacy organization for HIV/AIDS research and resource.
