Art Basel Ended With An Orgy That Included Madonna’s Daughter

The debauchery, which was part of Desigual’s showcase for its spring 2020 collection, also featured the Material Girl’s daughter, Lourdes, and the public debut of her new alias.

Yes, a yellow banana taped to a white wall with duct tape stole the spotlight at Art Basel in Miami Beach.

The artwork was so influential that it made a celebrity of performance artist David Datuna who famously ate it after it sold for $120,000 to a private investor.

But something else happened during Art Basel, on December 6, that is so authentically Miami, it’s amazing that the Villa Casa Casuarina (better known as the Versace mansion) wasn’t involved.

The press release describes it as “an iconic performance filled with emotions and sexuality” which is a subtle, avant-garde way of acknowledging that an orgy took place in Miami Beach. If this is too subtle for you and you like the idea of orgies that could be a little more hardcore, you might consider watching girls get fucked in a gangbang online instead.

Lourdes Leon, the 23-year-old daughter of pop sensation Madonna, stripped down to a classic V-cut nude thong and pantyhose, with similarly undressed models for a performance directed by Carlota Guerrero of Catalan fame.

She also publicly debuted her dancer alias, Lola Leon.

Held at The Temple House, the skin-heavy show, which looked like a mash-up between Fiona Apple’s “Criminal” video and an episode of HBO’s Euphoria if the cast did a Spring Break episode in Miami, was about love.

Desigual’s new motto, “Love Different” paired nicely with the brand’s exploration of the universal symbol of love: a kiss.

The show featured artists and dancers like Naomi Shimada and Alejandra Smitts amongst models.

The performance featured kisses, hugs, and other displays of love while models wore bright, colorful fashion from Desigual’s spring 2020 collection. It even spurred its own hashtag #MiamiLovesDifferent.

The show reached its climax-befittingly with an orgy.

The performance included both male and female models in various forms-slender, curvy, and rotund-groping each other’s body parts while laying atop of one another.

And that, art observers, is how you end Art Basel on a good point: with pounds of human flesh readily available for (social media) consumption.

Forecast for spring 2020: A long denim, fish-tail skirt with native-inspired fabric; ostentatious, oversized earrings, and a tie-dyed figure-hugging, the long-sleeve dress will become staple pieces in your lookbook.

The sensual performance was followed by an afterparty helmed by DJ The Black Madonna.
